On August, 2024, the Seatrace International and PYC Foods teams had the pleasure of visiting Gallagher Irish Premium Oysters' farm in Donegal, Ireland. This family-owned and managed business has been a cornerstone of oyster farming in the region for 25 years, operating in the pristine waters of a warm, clear bay on Ireland's unspoiled west coast.

At the recent WOFEX (World Food Expo), the largest and most impactful food trade show in the Philippines, TAO Community proudly clinched the award for Best Booth. This prestigious recognition highlights their innovative and engaging presentation at the event, which continues to be a major highlight in the food and hospitality industry.

On August 1, 2024, Seatrace International was honored to participate in the WOFEX (World Food Expo) conference, focusing on "Food Fraud - Revealing The Truth Behind Your Food Choices." Held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, the event brought together industry leaders to discuss crucial issues surrounding food traceability and sustainability.

In celebration of World Oceans Day, Seatrace International partnered with chefs from Marriott International Philippines to showcase a variety of sustainable seafood offerings. This special event highlighted the importance of ocean conservation and the role of responsible seafood sourcing in preserving marine ecosystems.

Seatrace International recently had the honor of hosting a special group of visitors from seven different fishing communities across Subic, Mindoro, and Palawan. The Learning Visit program, initiated by Better Seafood Philippines, provided a platform for these communities to share their experiences and insights into responsible seafood sourcing practices.

Seatrace International recently joined an exclusive Omakase tasting event hosted by Glacier 51, featuring the exquisite, sustainably sourced Patagonian Toothfish. The event brought together Seatrace’s business partners, including Dylan Skinns and Samuel Colvin, for a memorable culinary experience.

In March 2024, Seatrace International was proud to participate in the prestigious Boston Seafood Show, a leading event for global seafood industry professionals. Christian Schmidradner, Managing Partner of Seatrace, took center stage as a featured speaker at the MSC Yellowfin Tuna Event, where he shared valuable insights on sustainability practices in the seafood sector.

In February 2024, Seatrace International, under the leadership of Christian Schmidradner, proudly hosted a delegation of Canadian suppliers and the Canadian Trade Commission. The group visited Seatrace's state-of-the-art facility in Sucat, Parañaque, marking an important step in fostering international partnerships within the sustainable food industry.

In celebration of 50 years of international cultural work, the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs held a special event at Ateneo de Manila University on October 5, 2023. The event, titled "Imagine Dignity: Eco-Social Models of Life," was organized in partnership with the John Gokongwei School of Management and the Ateneo Institute of Sustainability (AIS).

The Philippine Embassy in Vienna hosted a four-course gourmet Filipino dinner on 18 October 2023 in Das Mezzanin Restaurant in Vienna to promote MSC-certified Philippine yellowfin tuna in the Austrian market.

Chef Margarita Fores prepared a special menu for the dinner which highlighted the freshness and the quality of the Marine Stewardship Council-certified yellowfin tuna imported from the Philippines and featured innovative Filipino haute cuisine.

As one of the initiative's first partners, SeaTrace International proudly participated in the Better Seafood Philippines Summit, signifying a significant milestone. This historic event, organized by USAID Philippines and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Central Office in collaboration with the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) and the Fish Right program, drew over 200 participants from diverse sectors, including the seafood industry, fishing communities, government, and civil society organizations.

The purpose of this event was not only to demonstrate our commitment to sustainable seafood procurement, but also to forge valuable partnerships with prominent organizations such as PTHP, WWF, and SCS.

This event marked a pivotal moment as SeaTrace signed the MSC Co-Sharing Certificate with the Philippine Tuna Handline Partnership (PTHP).
